The one with the winter digest

Can't say that the week was generous for the events, anyway I've got some news to tell you!

The first fashion stop today is a giant one!

A NEW world record for the World's Greatest Catwalk has been set in Hong Kong, at 3.2 kilometres long. The catwalk, a collaboration between the Danish Fashion Institute and the Hong Kong Fashion Designer's Association, used the city's impressive skyline as the backdrop to the show.
"We had 158 models dressed in Danish fashion on this extraordinarily impressive catwalk today," said Eva Kruse, CEO of the Danish Fashion Institute. "I was very proud when I saw them walk down the runway with the gorgeous Hong Kong skyline as backdrop. Simply put, it was the best of Danish Fashion presented in the most beautiful of international settings."
Pia Allerslev, Copenhagen's Mayor of Culture, who flew in especially for the event coined it, "a cultural meeting between East and West".The occasion was marked with the presentation of the official Guinness Book of World Records diploma to representatives from both the Danish and Chinese establishments.

Stella is all about winning!

STELLA MCCARTNEY has been named the most-searched-for fashion brand on the internet. The designer, who created the Olympic Team GB kit and was named British Fashion Awards' Designer of the Year, was ranked the highest fashion-related search term in the 2012 Google Zeitgeist list.

Alice has a wonderlend on her own!

ALICE TEMPERLEY's new Mayfair store is, quite literally, a childhood dream come true.

"Weirdly, when I was 14 or 15, I had tear sheets that I kept inside an interiors scrap book and Poiret's shop front from the Twenties was in it," the designer told us. "I look through that book whenever I'm working on interiors references, which I was for this store. The front shop window of our new store is almost identical to Poiret's - there's the black and the gold. It's strange the way the mind stores things and for that reason I love it - it feels like it was supposed to be."
The boutique, situated on Bruton Street, opened with a glamorous party last week - featuring a performance by The Noisettes. Watch the British designer talk about what she loves the most about the shop and the label's future plans, plus see all the action from her soirée on the VogueTV film featured here.
"Over the past 10 years, we've really learnt what the brand is all about and we want to showcase the world of Temperley in our beautiful, beautiful store," she said.
